AnarchistI am a libertarian of the far left.
I don't believe the current systems of governance are sufficiently horizontal enough to warrant my support, cooperation and participation short of voting on ballot initiatives and propositions. I do not feel elected officials are qualified enough to represent me or anybody else for that matter. In other words I believe representative democracy is a sham and a game of smoke and mirrors. I believe that direct democracy and elimination of the nation-state and national borders is what we should strive for.
I don't believe in obscene, unwarranted authority. I advocate that all people should observe liberty by and for all.
Socialist, Communist, SyndicalistBecause I believe the nation-state should be abolished the best way to ensure social cohesion is through direct communal governance. With the nation-state abolished decentralization of power would ensue and fall into the hands of the people (where it rightfully belongs).
I am an anti-Capitalist and believe corporations (left to themselves) have done, and will do, nothing but ill to us and the planet. I believe Capitalism as an economic system is; at its core exploitative and has no valid place in a libertarian society.
Vegan, HumanistI am a vegan for ethical reasons and am against all kinds of animal cruelty and exploitation. However, I'm not a vegangelist :P
Veganism also ties into my being a humanist, as I believe our human social, physical and mental well-being relies on our being compassionate, cohabitating denizens of this earth allowing us to be better human beings.
Agnostic Atheist, Secularist, TranshumanistI do not believe gods exist. However, I'm not arrogant enough to claim that I know with absolutely certainty that gods do not exist. Though, I think it's safe to assume they do not.
I don't believe in an afterlife or the passing of a soul into another time, place or realm.
I was once an anti-theist but no longer; because, no matter how silly, I believe people have the inalienable right to believe what they choose. The reason I've changed in this regard was by encountering Christian Anarchists (an odd combination I know, but they do exist). It is absolutely possible to hold some silly belief and yet not feel the need to shove it down other peoples throats through force or coercion.
I believe in the separation of church and state; or more specifically the rational separation of personal religious beliefs from political interactions with others.
I am a transhumanist, in that I believe technology will help us better ourselves on a personal level and as a society. Helping us to live a more fulfilling existence on this planet and possibly beyond it.
